THE FUTURE IS 2(US): OUROBOROS (일월오봉도)

This work continues my explorations of cultural identity and Korean cosmic and spiritual philosophy. THE FUTURE IS 2(US) is set to be a mixed-media triptych about women and nonbinary individuals of color in my generation. I encouraged my collaborators to explore what our utopia could be as we searched for cultural parallels. This recreation of the Sun, Moon, and Five Peaks folding screen (traditionally placed behind the king) was revised through my modern perspective. 11.08.24
