This self-portraiture explores my cultural identity and Korean cosmic and spiritual philosophy. This piece takes inspiration from the Irworobongdo: a traditional landscape painting of the sun, moon, and five peaks. This was always set behind Eojwa, the king's royal throne. The beauty in traditional spiritual beliefs is that it can be reborn in our modern perspective. 10.13.24
